Five Generations….

It’s not every day that a person gets to photograph five generations of family. Here we have sweet Baby Avery, her Mom Jessica, her Grandma Angie, her Great-Grandma Jan, and her Great-Great-Grandma Leona. This is a picture that will be on the walls of this family for a long time, I hope. I work with Jan in the Counseling office at BHS and she keeps me sane, I tell her. She runs our office like a pro (she is a pro) and she’s a great sounding board, friend and encourager. You have a beautiful family, Jan. Thanks for everything!

Caleb had lots of smiles hidden deep within on the day of his 3+ month photos – his mom and I just had to work extra hard to convince him that he should share a few of them with us. There are a few family members who will particularly enjoy the fact that our boy is a Packer fan already at this young age. We love you, Caleb Russell.

Baby Lily

I got a call from Kelly J. inquiring about photographing her newborn sweet baby girl…. I was excited! Baby Lily was a month and a day old the afternoon we got together. She’s on the right track to be a styling young lady as her mom has already done a great job of accessorizing. At one point her dad made the passing comment that she was such a gift (or something along those lines)… and that really struck me. She totally is. An amazing gift. Thanks, Todd, for the right perspective. I loved making the trip across the state line as Baby Lily and her family live just south of River Falls in the small town of Beldenville. Thank you for inviting me into your home, Todd & Kelly – I hope to see you again. Enjoy!

Steve & Calla – 7.10.10

Steve & Calla had a perfect northern Minnesotan day to get married and they enjoyed it to the fullest! Onamia was the location of their ceremony, with their reception being held at Northern Lights Ballroom in Pease. They had sweet family moments, great times with friends, and smiles all day long. Steve & Calla – you were gracious and wonderful. Congrats to you and your families!

I love this family! We’ve got lots of Northwestern College connections as Britt & I were colleagues & friends in Admissions and I remember watching Dan hoop it up on the basketball court. He is talented, humble & kind! Britt is just a classy gal who always has a smile on her face. And now she’s mom to two beautiful boys….. Tate & Silas were super troopers on a perfect Friday morning at Staring Lake Park in Eden Prairie. Thanks you guys…. I was blessed by your family.

Junior Achievement is an amazing organization that is committed to our youth and the talents and potential they possess. Their mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. They do this by partnering with successful companies who collaborate in huge ways with JA and the students they serve. I had the honor of being a part of their awards reception held at the Hilton in downtown Minneapolis last week. What an encouraging event!

The Fermin Family

Brothers. Sons. Grandkids. Daughters in Laws. Cousins. That’s what this family is. We met in the Fermin Family beautiful back yard near Hudson, WI because both brothers were in town and together, and Mr. & Mrs. Fermin are celebrating 40 years of marriage – how wonderful is that. Thanks, Fermin Family. It was great to see some of you again, and meet the rest of you. I hope your family time was truly enjoyable.

Rebecca emailed me recently and asked if we could squeeze in a maternity shoot before Baby R arrives in just over a month. Absolutely! Adam, Rebecca & sweet Vivian were so agreeable and kind. I loved how they coordinated – great colors for photos - then we found a patch of wild flowers right at the end of their street. Perfect. I loved the smiles, the sunshine that would hide behind the clouds, and any breeze that would float our way. Thanks, you guys… for a great morning and I look forward to meeting your little one SOON!

Ross & Katie, Joseph & Jerome

I have the privilege of working with Ross (aka super English teacher/debate coach/student council advisor/staff advocate/listening ear person) and hearing lots about his wonderful wife & their kiddos… I got to meet up with them a few Friday mornings ago and it was a dandy treat. We hiked around one of my favorite places in Minneapolis (OK, my favorite) and Joseph & Jerome were awesome. Thanks, Ross & Katie, for making family photos a priority and for being so easy to photograph. I hope you enjoy!
