.... Capturing the simple and the grand moments of life.

I've been taking pictures for as long as I can remember.  Travels, friends, weddings, family. My photography started as a hobby and has grown into the opportunity to enter your homes, your lives, and your big moments of celebration. It's what I love to do!

During the school year I am school counselor at Blaine HS.  My husband, Daniel, and I live in NE Mpls and we love our city, our friends & family, our church Bethlehem Baptist, and most importantly Jesus Christ, who we serve joyfully!

Thanks for visiting - I hope to hear from you soon.  Annette

Five Generations….

It’s not every day that a person gets to photograph five generations of family.  Here we have sweet Baby Avery, her Mom Jessica, her Grandma Angie, her Great-Grandma Jan, and her Great-Great-Grandma Leona.  This is a picture that will be on the walls of this family for a long time, I hope.  I work with...

Dan & Brittney, Tate & Silas

I love this family!  We’ve got lots of Northwestern College connections as Britt & I were colleagues & friends in Admissions and I remember watching Dan hoop it up on the basketball court.  He is talented, humble & kind!  Britt is just a classy gal who always has a smile on her face.  And now...

The Fermin Family

Brothers. Sons. Grandkids. Daughters in Laws. Cousins.  That’s what this family is.  We met in the Fermin Family beautiful back yard near Hudson, WI because both brothers were in town and together, and Mr. & Mrs. Fermin are celebrating 40 years of marriage – how wonderful is that.  Thanks, Fermin Family.  It was great to...

Adam & Rebecca, Vivian & Baby R

Rebecca emailed me recently and asked if we could squeeze in a maternity shoot before Baby R arrives in just over a month.  Absolutely!  Adam, Rebecca & sweet Vivian were so agreeable and kind.  I loved how they coordinated – great colors for photos -  then we found a patch of wild flowers right at...

Ross & Katie, Joseph & Jerome

I have the privilege of working with Ross (aka super English teacher/debate coach/student council advisor/staff advocate/listening ear person) and hearing lots about his wonderful wife & their kiddos… I got to meet up with them a few Friday mornings ago and it was a dandy treat.  We hiked around one of my favorite places in...

Elysian, MN

A beautiful family. Kind words. An awesome red barn. Siblings. Cousins. Bare feet!  All these things made my Saturday morning in the small town of Elysian, MN with this family sweet. The pictures speak for themselves…. so fun!

A Stillwater Evening

I met this fun family in Stillwater and we had a beautiful evening for photos.  Three families make up one larger family and I appreciated the time we spent together.  Thanks you everyone, for being great sports and for climbing up on top of the Zepher!  Anything for a fun family photo.  Many blessings to...

BHS Babies

These photos just make me smile.  I work with a great staff of teachers at Blaine High School and these are 8 of the 12 babies that have been born in the last 12 months.  We got together in Chad & Emily’s back yard this afternoon for a great family-style BBQ picnic.  I thought it...

Mike & Kimberly, Peyton & Baby Nolan

I met a new friend late last summer!  Kimberly and her son Peyton were at the swimming pool near our homes and I was there with my niece.  We were sitting next to each other and struck up conversation after she noticed the book I was reading.  Turns out we both attend Bethlehem and live...

The Boo Family

The Boo Family invited me into their home to photograph their extended family this past weekend as they celebrated Christmas together on Sunday afternoon.  What a warm, inviting family, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves to the max.  Thanks for the opportunity!  I hope you all had a terrific afternoon together.
