I met this fun family in Hudson on Sunday afternoon and I could have played all afternoon. Thanks, you guys, for being good sports, for having great ideas, and for being so fun and easy to photograph! Jeremy & Laurie are good friends with the Fermins ~ another family that I love and photograph often ~ so it was a treat to finally get to do this session! Brianna was celebrating a 1st birthday and her big brothers were her biggest fans. We ended the photo shoot the best way possible – with ice cream and chocolate. Thanks, you guys! I love photographing this family! Over the years Dan and I have grown to trust and appreciate Mike and LaDawn for so many reasons. They stand for Truth! They work hard. They help people. They care. They put action to their belief. And maybe most noticeable right now, they sacrifice and strive to raise their children well. LaDawn and I go back lots of years to when we were both running fools and quite involved in FCA. Along came Mike and Happily Ever After for them! An interesting bit of trivia: I read Scripture in Mike and LaDawn’s wedding. Thanks, you guys, for continuing to make family photos a priority. It is always great to be with you.

Gretchen is one of my favorite go-to photography friends! LOVE her insight and her friendship. We’ve got a family photo session swap going on that I hope continues for years to come – it will if I have anything to say about it! Jason & Gretchen are a great couple and their boys – Wesley & Arthur – turned 2 last week. I’m so excited to meet their little GIRL later this summer! Here’s a few of my favorites from our time at the Guthrie a week or so ago.
Jack & Mary’s two boys were both under the same roof for the holidays so it was time for a family portrait! I’m thankful to God for this family and for the leadership that Jack & Mary provide at Bethlehem Baptist. What a blessing they are to me and to many. My sister and her family were in Minnesota for a few weeks recently and we took an evening to walk across the street to one of my favorite walking paths for their family photos. It’s was so nice to have quality time with them in our home! Now they’re back in Mexico and we’ll pick up with email and skype to keep in touch. Thankful for technology that allows for that communication. Love you, sis!
